si brown 8,486 Posted June 25, 2017 Report Share Posted June 25, 2017 went out with the prosport this evening for a bit.. this is the first proper outing since its tweaks! its been windy on and off all day up here, but I couldn't stop in any longer so I went up to the dairy! I've not particularly hit the rabbits on this perm cos unless I get moaned at id rather bash the birds... I don't go a load on rabbit but I love woodys! this is the first time I've ever used a range finder, my mates got one but hardly ever brings it so I bought one on Friday managed to knock off a few ferrels and a few crows at various ranges using all the geek stuff on my phone with the distances and angles off the range finder! chair gun works after the birds cottoned on to me I thought id have a crack at a rabbit or two, theres a lot on this perm but I think the wind must of put them off.. loads of fresh runs and droppings but only saw three and I could only get a shot off at one at 40yrd freestanding in the edge of a maze field! the hedge line sheltered the shot from the wind so it was a bang on zero! first rabbit for the ps as the rabbits weren't playing I set off back to the main farm, walking down the road I noticed a few rats running too and throw! so I went to investigate, there back with vengeance... so I spent half an hour knocking off rats! testing shots cos there not in chill mode like when its dark, shots varied between 10 and 30+ yards!! good sport though! picked up a woody and a couple of ferrels whilst going for the rabbits not a bad evening and happy with the ps too atb si 5 Quote Link to post

It's hard to do a comparison with these two mark! The 95 is smooth as feck in every way but what little recoil that is there is not soaked up by a big chunk of wood! The ps is almost there, just need to get rid of the twang! I'll do a pellet test next time the weathers right and I've got a day off. What I will say is I gave Amy the ps and 97 on Saturday... i didn't say a word and asked her opinion! She thought the 17 year old 97 was the new one on looks and performance Quote Link to post
